MVT DD inner rotor question

Anyone install An MVT DD inner rotor in a Minarelli? I’m thinking about getting one.

I have one for my mine, but never seriously tried to hook it up. I have the wiring schematics back in LA somewhere. do it, let me know how it goes??!!! LOL

Was it charging the battery and running the headlights. Etc.?

This is way late so you prob don’t care or have the answer by now, but I have the DD06 on my engine. It will run my headlight and keep the battery charged well if I’m moving. Doesn’t charge at idle. It has to get the RPM up quite a bit to charge. I’m currently using a setup that’s mostly 10,000-14,000RPM unless it’s at idle. With my last pipe that ran about 3,000RPM lower overall, it didn’t do quite as well keeping up.

Either way, you won’t have much power to spare for other accessories unless you’re doing short rides and relying on the battery to take up the slack. With just lights and gauges, I’ve been able to ride as long as I want without worrying about it too much though.

The small/light rotor and timing curve much better than the typical CDI is a nice improvement though. I’ve got videos all about my experiences with it and how to install it on my YouTube (49cscoot).

Thanks for the info. Never too late and your post is exactly what I was looking for. It’s always the quest for more power without sacrificing reliability. The bike has been super reliable. Sadly I’ve been taking it on rides more than the Rucktro.

This is the exact same thing that happens with my polini rotor, and that’s supposed to have a light pole.

It’s so bad, E, that I have an off switch for my headlights.
